Films: Lifeforce (1985)
Alias: None
Type: Alien
Location: Eldritch location/Civilized area
Height/Weight: That of average humans.
Affiliation: Evil
Summary: We've seen space vampires before to some degree. But now, we have some on a budget. Not a totally big one, but enough to bring terror to the audience.
History: Somewhere near Hally's Comet, a derelict spaceship looms. It's only occupants are two men and a woman in suspended animation. But a team of space-faring humans is exactly what they were counting on. These beings are vampiric monsters who drain people of their lifeforce, turn those men into mindless zombies, and then get more lifeforce to power their ship. And now the trio has been brought to London...
Notable Kills: It's always life draining for them.
Final Fate: The male vampires are stabbed by a sword made of alien metal, while the queen makes off with a new male counterpart and back to the ship.
Powers/Abilities: Can drain people of lifeforce to maintain youth, as well as turn them into slaves, and shapeshift. The queen has mild psychic powers.
Weakness: Anything made of leaded iron.
Scariness Factor: 4-Vampires are bad. Alien vampires are much worse. Not only are their powers weird, visceral, and very deadly, but their true forms are quite nasty, being emancipated bat beasts.
Trivia: -This film was part of a three-film deal made with Cannon films by Tobe Hooper. The other two were "Invaders From Mars" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2".
-A year after this film was released, Halley's Comet zoomed over the Earth. Thankfully, it brought no vampires with it.
